Cable Nature Lodge is located just 7 miles east of the charming artistic community of Cable, and within an easy drive to the nearby towns of Hayward, Ashland, and Bayfield.

The premier location in the heart of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest offers convenient access to hiking, biking, golfing, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and all the other outdoor adventures available in beautiful northwest Wisconsin. The Lodge

Cable Nature Lodge combines a beautiful blend of rustic elegance with modern amenities. Rough sawn cedar and knotty pine paneling distinguish the guest rooms and lounge, along with vaulted ceilings, wood laminate floors, and field stone fireplace. All seven guest rooms are located on the upper level of the lodge with large windows overlooking the surrounding forest.

Immediately out the front door of the lodge you can enjoy a walk or snowshoe around several loops of mowed trail that traverse our scenic 22 acre property. Just a mile down the road you’ll find the Rock Lake hiking and ski trail, along with a trailhead for the Midwest’s renowned CAMBA off-road bike trail system. Less than two miles in the other direction lies a lovely little park at the headwaters of the Namakagon River, one of the first federally designated Wild and Scenic Rivers in the country, and well known for great fishing and canoeing.
